Welcome to AFRINEEDS! We are committed to building a trusted and value-driven platform that connects food suppliers with employees through a payroll-integrated, advance-order system. This Seller Policy outlines the terms, responsibilities, and expectations for individuals and businesses who wish to list and sell products on the AFRINEEDS platform.

 

1. Eligibility to Sell

To be eligible as a seller on AFRINEEDS, you must:

· Be at least 18 years of age.

· Own a registered business (or operate as a legally recognized sole proprietor).

· Provide valid identification, address, and bank account details for payment processing.

· Agree to comply with all applicable local, state, and national laws and regulations.

 

2. Product Listing Guidelines

Sellers may only list items that fall under the approved product categories on AFRINEEDS, primarily food and household staples. Items must:

· Be authentic, safe, and properly labeled according to health and food safety standards.

· Include accurate descriptions, prices, photos, and available quantities.

· Not include prohibited or restricted products (e.g., expired goods, illegal items, or products banned by regulatory authorities).

Prohibited Practices:

· Misleading titles or descriptions

· Counterfeit or imitation products

· False claims or pricing manipulation

 

 

3. Order Fulfillment and Delivery

AFRINEEDS operates primarily on a biweekly delivery model. As a seller, you must:

· Ensure timely preparation and packaging of all accepted orders.

· Ensure timely delivery to Afrineeds fulfilment center as per agreed time

· Maintain accurate inventory levels to avoid delays or cancellations.

Late fulfillment or consistent delivery issues may result in penalties or account suspension.

 

4. Quality and Safety Standards

All sellers must maintain high product quality and hygiene standards. Specifically:

· Food items must be fresh, free from contamination, and within expiry dates.

· Packaging must be clean, secure, and suitable for transport.

· Sellers must comply with food safety regulations applicable in their jurisdiction.

AFRINEEDS reserves the right to conduct random inspections or request certification for certain product categories.

 

5. Pricing and Payment

Pricing:

· Sellers are responsible for setting fair and competitive prices.

· Prices must include applicable taxes and reflect the true value of the product.

· AFRINEEDS may advise on market pricing trends but does not set prices.

Commissions:

· A commission fee is charged on each completed order. This will be communicated in the vendor onboarding agreement.

Payment:

· Sellers are paid Weekly or monthly, depending on AFRINEEDS' payment cycle, after order confirmation and deduction of commission and any applicable fees.

· Payments are made directly to the seller’s verified bank account.

6. Cancellations and Returns

Sellers must comply with AFRINEEDS' cancellation and return policies:

· Orders may be canceled before processing or if the item is out of stock.

· Returns are accepted only for defective, expired, or incorrect items.

· Sellers are responsible for replacing returned items or issuing a refund as applicable.

Frequent cancellations or poor-quality returns may affect your seller rating and account status.

 

7. Communication and Support

· Sellers are expected to respond to inquiries or complaints within 24 hours.

· AFRINEEDS will mediate disputes between buyers and sellers, and its resolution shall be final.

· Sellers must maintain professionalism in all interactions with customers and the AFRINEEDS team.

 

8. Marketing and Promotion

AFRINEEDS may promote your products through its platform, emails, social media, and partner channels. Sellers may also request or participate in promotional campaigns.

· Promotional discounts must be pre-approved by AFRINEEDS.

· Sellers must not market competing platforms to AFRINEEDS customers.

 

9. Compliance and Termination

AFRINEEDS reserves the right to:

· Suspend or terminate a seller account for violations of this policy.

· Withhold payments if fraud, abuse, or policy breaches are detected.

· Update this policy at any time with or without notice. Continued use of the platform signifies acceptance of changes.

10. Confidentiality and Data Use

Sellers must treat customer data and business operations with confidentiality. Any misuse of data may lead to legal action and immediate termination.

 

11. Social Impact Clause

As part of AFRINEEDS' mission, 10% of net profits are reinvested in community development. By joining the platform, sellers contribute to this mission and agree to be part of a socially responsible marketplace.
